SYNOPSIS

“Cacau”, the protagonist of the story, is a 24-year-old girl living on a cocoa farm in Itacaré, Brazil. She is talented in making chocolates and dreams of getting an international diploma in Pastry and Chocolate Arts abroad, which seems impossible due to the course’s high cost.

However, she is unaware that her father, who is on a business trip to Portugal, plans to break a pact with his wife and reveal Cacau’s true identity to Justino Vaz Pereira, the farm’s wealthy owner. This leads to a shocking revelation for Justino as he discovers that he had a daughter with his ex-lover, who disappeared years ago.

The story takes an unexpected turn when it is revealed that Quim, Cacau’s “father”, had hidden Cacau’s true identity from everyone, including Justino, to protect her. It is a heartwarming tale of family secrets, hidden love and sacrifice.
