SYNOPSIS

UNLIMITED LOVE is a tribute to the women who struggle and sacrifice so much to raise their children well. To raise them in their image, to turn them into men of good.

Who hasn’t loved too much? Or better yet, is loving too much, wrong? Love never seems too much when it’s rushing inside of us. This is confirmed by those who feel it, those who experience it, confirmed by those who are willing to do just about anything in the name of such love, confirmed by the poets who have written about it. “What great love truly cares about, is love, is love, it’s scattered love”. And those who have experienced it know that without this love we can die of pain. That is what drives men and women to do the unthinkable in the name of so much love.

How many haven’t done everything they could for their children and lovers, for loving them far too much? How many haven’t destroyed the life of others, with that very same argument? Some are willing to give their lives, or their time to save someone, for loving them too much… some may steal to protect this love. Some will go to the end of the world and back to save a great love. For love… some may enter into a pact with the Devil himself… some will risk their life for others… some will do everything for justice to prove the truth to a great love. ZECA (35), our star is such a man. A man who has a strength that is out of the ordinary and so typical of women, perhaps because he was raised among so many women. He is a person of moral values, with a huge sense of justice, who doesn’t always opt for the likely way to help those he loves, yet who has no doubts as to his priorities: to protect his own. This lands him in jail, when he pleads guilty for a crime he didn’t commit on behalf of someone else, to save his mother’s life. For loving her too much, Zeca foregoes his own freedom, and the love Ema feels for him.

And when he realizes he was duped and his sacrifice was in vain, instead of being angry, he is resilient. And prepares for the day of great clash: the moment when he will be able to seek justice for everything he’s been through.

Zeca is in jail for more than 15 years, but when he’s released, he’s hell bent in finding out who betrayed him. He seeks justice for his lost years, but he also wants to prove his innocence. He wants the right to start over, with a clean slate. And if in order to do so he has to do something he shouldn’t along the way, then so be it. He’s already served time for something he didn’t do.

This is the starting point in the story of Zeca, a good soul who early on was forced to grow up and lose his innocence. A man who knows what he wants – justice, without letting this make him conniving, cold or incapable of feeling or loving… perhaps this is his feminine side showing through, due to the fact he grew up with his mother and four sisters. After all, isn’t it said that women are able to withstand anything? Well, Zeca is a male version of these women fighters. The son who sacrifices himself for his mother. The brother who protects his sisters. The man who will travel the world for the woman he loves. The man who discovers a new version of himself, with the strength of a lion, when he becomes a father.

Zeca is an ode to the women who raised him, it’s the fruit of his influence, the love. The world we live in can still be considered a man’s world, but men are born from women’s wombs. They are the ones who raise them and influence them the most. Which shows that in actual fact, it’s a woman’s world and they are tasked with turning their sons into new Zecas: tolerant, loving men who love them and respect them and above all, treat them as equals.
